Bits of Baby Clothes

My relationship to my children’s baby clothes was pretty easy come/easy go, but I knew a friend of mine was sitting on a highly curated stash of adorable baby clothing. I asked if I could transform some of those clothes into a memory quilt. This friend is quite sentimental, so I feel lucky that she allowed me to use her daughters’ outgrown skirts and dresses. What was even more satisfying is seeing how the girls immediately loved their quilt: lying on top of it, snuggling underneath it… My fondest wish is that they wear it down to threads and I get to patch it for another few decades of use.
