This quilt began as a way to soothe my troubled mind. I used my favorite colors (sunny yellows and oranges with restful grays), and played with a couple improvisational piecing techniques. As the stack of completed blocks grew and I began sewing them into pairs and then strips, it became clear that this quilt wanted to live with my friends Mitts and Muffy. And so I gave the completed quilt to them, with love.
